Maldonado Family Portraits

I was down in SoCal a few weeks ago and shot some family portraits for one of my best friends Lindsey. I hadn't met Luke yet, who is 7 months old now, so it was really nice being able to spend some time with them and take some photos. We found a field in Riverside to take some of the photos, and the rest are taken at their home. Blake is 3, and though he can be a handful, he loves to smile and have his picture taken. Mark is a police officer so we took some photos of Luke in the police costume - which turned out to be a bit difficult since he's at that crawling age and just wanted to take off! I had a great time hanging out and photographing this wonderful family!

Tom + Gale = Married!!

Tom and Gale were married on October 17th on a ranch in the mountains near Santa Cruz. It was a wonderful day weatherwise - after a week of downpour, the sun came out to shine brilliantly on this particular Saturday for Tom and Gale. These two are so freaking cute - they have been together for awhile and have a two year old daughter, Izzy, and are so completely in love that you can't help but be happy when you're around them. They had an Irish wedding - with traditional Irish music, a handfasting ceremony, the flower girls even walked down the aisle barefoot in the grass. It was such a joy to watch Tom and Gale exchange their vows for each other, truly moving as they described their lives together and their dreams for the future. After the ceremony we spent some time in a field across the way (which was amazing, just like everything else at Radonich Ranch), as well as some time on the road (the fall colors in the trees were way too gorgeous to pass up). The reception was a ton of fun as their family and friends got up to give speeches (a lot of whom belong to improv groups, so the speeches were quite funny!). The night ended with dancing to the traditional Irish music, which now included a caller to teach the Irish dances! Thank you two for including me in such a beautiful day.
