Terrence and Janet are Married, Yay!!

Terrence and Janet were married on May 23rd, and it was such a lovely day, and quite an experience for me. I had the chance to experience a lot of the Chinese marriage traditions - starting at 7am, I was with Janet as she got ready and at around 8am Terrence and his groomsmen showed up to barter with the bridesmaids and some of Janet's family members to let them in the see her. It was pretty funny to watch the various things that everyone put these guys through, until finally, Terrence was allowed in and able to see Janet for the first time. Then we were off to the gardens where they became united as husband and wife, followed by lunch and a tea ceremony. The reception followed after some time with the wedding party for photos, and while it was a long day, it was a great privilege to be able to witness the various cultural traditions that were a part of this union. Thank you two so much for allowing me to be a part of it all, I had a great time being whirled up into all the family, friends and traditions that made your day so special.
